Floyd Roger Myers Jr., best known for portraying the childhood version of Will Smith in a 1992 episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has died at the age of 42. His mother, Renee Trice, confirmed that he passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 29, at his home in Maryland following a heart attack. According to TMZ, Myers had survived three previous heart attacks in the past three years.
After his debut as young Will, Myers went on to play Marlon Jackson that same year in the miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream, alongside Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams and Billy Dee Williams. The production chronicled the rise to fame of Michael Jacksonâs family. His last on-screen appearance came in 2000 in the TV series Young Americans, marking the end of a brief but memorable acting career.

Born and raised in Maryland, Myers stayed deeply connected to his local community long after leaving acting. He became involved in mentoring programs and local initiatives. Family and friends have launched a support campaign to cover funeral expenses, remembering him as âa devoted father and loving brother.â Myers is survived by his four children â Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler and Knox. The funeral is scheduled for Monday, November 3.
Myers also co-founded the nonprofit organization Fellaship Menâs Group, focused on menâs mental health. The group honored him with a post on Instagram: âRIP to our good brother @rocwonder⊠The mission will continue in your honor.â
