This week, Taylor Swift surprised fans by unexpectedly announcing the title of her 12th studio album: “The Life of a Showgirl.”
On Wednesday, the global superstar will make her first appearance on New Heights, the podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
The album title was revealed in a teaser for the upcoming episode.
“I wanted to show you guys something,” Taylor says, holding up a vinyl record—its cover art blurred—pulled from a briefcase marked with the initials “TS.”
“This is my new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” she adds, hinting that more details will be shared during the episode, which also marks her first interview since being named TIME magazine’s Person of the Year in 2023.

Swift’s website confirmed that the album would be released on October 3, and would become available for pre-order shortly before.
As is customary with each Taylor Swift album, this one will have a specific color, which will be orange. However, there will also be a secondary color: mint green. According to fan theory, this may represent oxidized copper, referencing the wear and tear of celebrities in public.

In addition to the orange color, it is believed that, unlike her past albums, this time Taylor decided to join forces with producer Max Martin, according to a playlist on the star’s profile, titled “And baby, that’s show business for you,” which only includes songs from the legendary Swedish producer.
