President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Jewish voters against supporting New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, who is currently leading the polls.
“Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Mamdani is running as a socialist, though conservatives have warned he represents an Islamic fundamentalist threat. Trump himself has urged Republicans to vote for former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., over Republican Curtis Sliwa in a bid to prevent him from winning the post.
Mamdani surged to prominence during the Democratic primary, in which he won an upset over Cuomo, who then mounted an independent bid.
