President Trump attacked GOP Sens. Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Rand Paul of Kentucky for voting against advancing his “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” in the Senate on Saturday evening.

The final vote was 51-49 and the bill ultimately moved forward.

“Thom Tillis has hurt the great people of North Carolina,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “Even on the catastrophic flooding, nothing was done to help until I took office. Then a MIRACLE took place! Tillis is a talker and complainer, NOT A DOER!”

Trump said Tillis is “even worse than Rand ‘Fauci’ Paul.”

Tillis opposed the bill mainly due to its Medicaid reform provisions. Paul has said the bill doesn’t do enough to reduce federal spending while the tax cut provisions are projected to raise the national debt by about $3 trillion over 10 years.
