President Donald Trump greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin as his plane touched down in Alaska, escorted by F-22 fighter jets.

The pair are meeting in Anchorage, Alaska, for a summit in which they are expected to address the Ukraine War and the future of Russo-American diplomatic relations.

Video footage showed Trump on the tarmac waiting at the end of a red carpet for Putin’s arrival. The pair shook hands and exchanged pleasantry, with Putin appearing to crack a joke.
