President Donald Trump said on Friday that Chicago and perhaps New York City would be the next cities where he will beef up the federal security presence to crackdown on crime.

Trump has increased the federal security presence in Washington, D.C. to combat criminal activity as well as homelessness and illegal immigration.

The National Guard and federal agents from various agencies have been seen patrolling the streets of the nation’s capital.

“I think Chicago will be our next,” Trump said at the White House. “And then we’ll help with New York.”
