President Donald Trump signaled support for expanding concealed carry to Washington, D.C.

“I’m a Second Amendment person, very simply,” he said at the White House on Friday when asked about having concealed carry in the nation’s capital. “People have to be able to protect themselves.”

Trump has authorized more federal security personnel, including federal agents from various agents and National Guard members, to help crack down on crime in Washington, D.C.
