President Donald Trump on Monday added public pressure on key U.S. trading partners Japan and South Korea to renegotiate their respective trade deals or face a 25% tariff as of August 1.

Trump sent the letters to the leaders of the respective countries, then posted them on Truth Social.

In the two nearly-identical letters, Trump takes issue with the trade deficits the U.S. has with each country, according to CNN.
