President Donald Trump may soon meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a possible resolution to the Ukraine War.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that “[t]he Russians expressed their desire to meet with President Trump, and the President is open to meeting with both President Putin and President Zelensky.”
The Putin meeting may come as soon as next week, the Washington Post reported, citing an administration official.
The news followed special envoy Steve Witkoff meeting with Putin on Wednesday and Trump imposing a 50% tariff on India due to their continued purchase of Russian oil.
