President Donald Trump on Thursday confirmed he would withdraw the nomination of Ed Martin to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Trump’s confirmation followed Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., stating this week that he would not support Martin’s nomination due to differences of opinion on Jan. 6 prosecutions.
