The White House on Wednesday night announced that President Donald Trump will make a planned visit to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center on Friday, where he will also undergo a routine checkup.

Presidents often participate in annual wellness checks, which are conducted at Walter Reed in Bethesda, Maryland. The results are usually released later by the White House physician.

“On Friday morning, President Trump will visit Walter Reed Medical Center for a planned meeting and remarks with the troops,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a news release. “While there, President Trump will stop by for his routine yearly checkup. He will then return to the White House.

“President Trump is considering going to the Middle East shortly thereafter,” she added.

The visit comes after Trump had his annual physical at Walter Reed in April.
