Alabama GOP Sen. Tommy Tuberville on Tuesday launched a website announcing his run for governor next year, instead of seeking reelection, ending weeks of speculation.
The senator is seeking to replace current Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, a Republican who is term-limited. Tuberville has not released a statement on the development so far, but has launched a website for his campaign, along with changing his handle on social media.
He is expected to make the formal announcement on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show” on Tuesday afternoon.
