US in pursuit of oil tanker near Venezuela

The U.S. Coast Guard is pursuing a sanctioned “dark fleet vessel” near Venezuela on Sunday.

Seizing it would mark the third time an oil tanker has been taken by the U.S. in the region.

President Trump has stepped up pressure onVenezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro by targeting drug boats and illegal shipments.
