Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss on Wednesday announced that they had placed $21 million in a super PAC dedicated to the promotion of cryptocurrency.

The Digital Freedom Fund PAC aims to support candidates that support crypto, but appears limited to Republican candidates, Politico reported. Both the Winklevoss twins contributed to President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.

“We will identify and support champions of President Trump’s crypto agenda in primary races and the midterm elections. President Trump’s victory on November 5, 2024, was a historic landslide,” Tyler Winklevoss posted on X. “Not only did he win the popular vote and the Electoral College, he helped Republicans win back control of the Senate and the House. This cleared the way for President Trump to execute on his agenda with unparalleled speed since his inauguration almost 7 months ago.”

The group also plans to oppose Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and to support fair access to banking for people of all political stripes.
